Full "STEAM" Ahead: Innovative 3D Printed Jewelry Designs by Kelsey Joyce '23

Senior Kelsey Joyce '23 recently designed and 3D printed a pair of wearable 3D printed earrings in her AP Studio Art class. After completing a series of drawings and models in air dry clay, Kelsey then translated her design concept into TinkerCAD, a free open source 3d modeling software. The design was exported as an STL file, a tool path that the Art & Design department's 3D printer can read and translate into three dimensions. The earrings were 3D printed and then Kelsey added a gold finish before adding the hardware to complete her wearable earrings.
